Nexus Workshops || Handstands

We are excited to announce our first Nexus Skills Workshop of 2019.
Available to all Nexus members (CFXIXI & CFQYS) for FREE.
Also available to non-members for £20 fee.
This workshop caters for all abilities.
There is a limit of 20 spaces, so be quick to claim your spot.
So what you can expect from the 2 hour workshop?
The workshop will be led by our very own experienced
Nexus Coaches, and no matter your ability or experience,
you’ll develop the knowledge, awareness,
and process to achieve or progress your handstand:
- Breakdown & discussion on handstand mechanics.
- Warm up / mobility drills.
- Step by step, in-depth progressions.
- Confidence in every position.
- Adequate scaling options to assist gradual progressions.
‘But, do i really need to be able to hold myself upside down?’
In the words of CrossFit Founder Greg Glassman,
“ Handstands are critical for developing your athletic potential and
essential components to becoming better at CrossFit”.
What does this mean? Being able to hold yourself upside down and balance develops strength and stability that transfers over to
almost everything we do in CrossFit, and life. It means that although you may never have to hold yourself upside down outside of the gym,
the adaptations that being able to do so bring about will help you live and perform better.
