The Handstand Push Up is one of the most difficult movements for many athletes to master.

What makes this movement so tough?

Aside from needing a great amount of strict pushing strength, the handstand push up requires
confidence, overhead range of motion and a great deal of body awareness.
When it comes to kipping HSPU there’s the added components of co-ordination and balance to factor in.
No wonder it causes so many so much difficulty – especially when trying to rep them out under fatigue in a WOD!

If you’re confident in kicking up to a handstand against the wall and holding yourself upside down, but your technique needs some refinement or improvement – then this Nexus Workshop will be perfect for you.

Our coaches will guide you step by step through both the strict and kipping variations of the HSPU. You will gain an understanding of each movement with an awareness of efficient and effective positions.
Coaches will use a series of progressions and drills to teach correct mechanics in each stage of the HSPU, eradicating faults and refining technique to help you earn confidence with the movement.

We strongly recommend that in order to attend this workshop you are at least confident in kicking up to a handstand against the wall and can perform a HSPU to 2 mats or less.
