EdStart is delighted to announce an exciting new partnership with Eleven:Eleven.
Eleven:Eleven is a specialist organisation with high level expertise in coaching functional fitness. They have changed many peoples’ lives by improving their overall health and helped sportsmen and women to achieve increased levels of performance in numerous sporting disciplines.
The purpose of this partnership is to introduce a Functional Fitness Programme to secondary schools as part of their curricular and extracurricular activities through theoretical teachings and practical sessions with the aim to boost sporting activity, educate and improve students’ overall health and impact positively on their grades.
The programme will initially be aimed at children aged 14-16 and has a number of key objectives. The programme aims to:
- Educate students on the benefits of functional training to both health and sports performance.
- Coach students on safe and correct movement form.
- Produce improvements in students’ academic work.
- Reduce injury as well as sickness and absence rates in schools.
“I am extremely excited about our new partnership with Eleven:Eleven. We have placed a huge emphasis on improving children’s health and fitness over the last 12 months and this will only help us drive the message further. It is hoped that we can develop the work we already do in primary schools but start offering support to secondary school aged children and families. Combining the skills and experience of the EdStart coaches with the vast knowledge base in health and fitness of the Eleven:Eleven team will see both organisations benefit immensely. More exciting is the prospect of us collaboratively delivering health and fitness programmes to children, young people and families across the North West, making a huge impact on their lives!”
Ray Law- Managing Director of Eleven:Eleven said:
“This partnership will revolutionise UK physical and health education as we know it. This day and age with the internet at the pinnacle of everyday life, information resource is a gold mine. However, simultaneously, there is also a lot of dangerous myths and false information mixed in. Our objective is to ensure our future generations are educated correctly and effectively about how and what it means to be optimally ‘healthy’. EdStart and ourselves have the same passion driven desire to make a positive change. Our partnership is just the beginning of many exciting, promising, and virtuous impactful things to come!”
The two organisations hope this collaboration will further their efforts to improve and enrich the lives of young people and their families with immediate effect.
